Elision Saxophone Quartet

The Elision Saxophone Quartet captivates audiences with power, grace, and elegance during their stylistically diverse and virtuosic concerts. The four men dazzle audiences with a unique and entertaining recipe of Classical, Latin, Jazz, Popular, and more musical styles from around the globe. The quartet’s musical interpretation of composers J.S. Bach, Glenn Miller, George Gershwin, Leonard Bernstein, Chick Corea, Astor Piazzolla, Charles Mingus, and Phil Woods leave audiences spellbound. 

Founded by Todd Oxford and Robert Medina in 1990, ESQ has entertained in virtually every conceivable setting to include concert halls, theaters, music festivals, universities, live radio, and television.  Highlights from the Elision Saxophone Quartet’s most recent engagements are a critically acclaimed concert at New York’s Merkin Concert Hall and two successful tours of the People’s Republic of China.  Other major venues include the Emmy Award Winning PBS Television Show “The Biscuit Brothers”, Texas Commission on the Arts Touring Arts Conference, the University of Tennessee, the University of Texas at Austin, Texas State University, the Carver Community Cultural Center, the Jewish Community Center of Austin, the Arts Council of Eagle Pass, the Entertainment Series of Irving, the Texas Jazz Festival, the Texas Folklife Festival, the Irving Community Television Network, KUT, KTPB, and KMFA radio stations. 

The Quartet’s CD, Live Through The Years, is available on the Equilibrium Record Label (www.equilibri.com) and internationally distributed by Albany Music Distribution to major retailers for purchase.
